This Privacy Policy describes how Resna ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the Resna mobile application (the "App"). By using Resna, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
a. Information You Provide
- Account information: Your name, email address, and password when you register.
- Artist profile: Band/artist name, genres, equipment, bio, and profile photos.
- Venue profile: Venue name, address, type, description, and photos.
- Payment information: For venues, payment card details collected and stored by Stripe. For artists, bank account information collected by Stripe during payout onboarding. We do not store raw card or bank account numbers on our servers.
- Reviews and ratings: Content you submit when reviewing artists or venues.
- Communications: Messages or support requests you send us.
b. Information Collected Automatically
- Location data: With your permission, we collect your device's location to help you find nearby venues or artists.
- Usage data: Information about how you interact with the App, including screens viewed, features used, and actions taken.
- Device information: Device type, operating system, app version, and unique device identifiers.
c. Information from Third Parties
- Stripe: We receive confirmation of payment method status, payout account status, and last four digits of connected bank accounts from Stripe. We do not receive full financial account details.
- Clerk: We use Clerk for authentication and receive identity verification data associated with your account.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account and profile
- Connect artists with venues and facilitate booking requests
- Process payments from venues and deliver payouts to artists via Stripe Connect
- Display your location to help find nearby gigs or venues
- Send booking confirmations, payout notifications, and app-related communications
- Improve the App's features, performance, and user experience
- Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent fraud or abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- With other users: Artist profiles (name, genre, bio, photos, reviews) are visible to venues. Venue profiles are visible to artists. Booking information is shared between the relevant artist and venue.
- With service providers: We share data with Stripe (payments), Clerk (authentication), Supabase (database infrastructure), and Google (location/places search) to operate the App. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
- For legal reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights and safety of Resna, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: If Resna is acquired or merged, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is subject to a different privacy policy.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account and profile information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or fraud prevention purposes.
Payment records may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with financial regulations.
5. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Delete your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent to location access at any time via your device settings
- Opt out of non-essential communications

6. Location Data
We request access to your device's location only when necessary (e.g., to find nearby venues or artists). You can revoke location permission at any time in your device's Settings. Revoking location access will limit certain features of the App but will not affect your ability to use core booking functionality.
7. Children's Privacy
Resna is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have collected data from a user under 18, we will delete it promptly.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (TLS), secure authentication via Clerk, and restricted access to our database. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, through an in-app notification. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
